oker52 Playing Cards is part of the Smooth Writing series from TCC Playing Cards and artist Lunzi. Created as a playful addition to the Room 52×52 project, the deck takes the familiar Joker and transforms it into a distinctive world of clowns, expressive characters and unexpected visual details.
At the centre of the design is the Joker’s extended tongue, cleverly shaped to resemble a doorway and used as a recurring emblem throughout the deck. Custom faces continue the theme, with traditional pip forms reimagined through clown-inspired artwork while retaining the recognisable structure of a playing card deck.
Released in 2025 with a production run of 1,000 decks, Joker52 brings together the hand-drawn character and unconventional ideas associated with the Smooth Writing series. Its unusual artwork makes it particularly suited to collectors and enthusiasts looking for a deck with a strong visual identity.
